At 626.7 acres, Tradewinds Park is one of the county's largest, the park straddles Sample Road and includes batting cages, an 18-hole disc golf course, a lake for fishing, sports equipment rentals. Soccer/football and softball fields available for rental also. The park also includes Butterfly World, a tropical garden that's home to thousands of butterflies and hummingbirds, as well as the Tradewinds Stable, which provides hourly guided rides, pony rides and equestrian programs to the public, and the Tradewinds Educational Farm, including barnyard animals and a farmhouse museum. The guided tours leave for the trail every 45 minutes and are $30 per hour per person. They are available until 3:30 p.m. on weekends only, limited to those 9 years or older. Pony rides are for riders less than 52 inches tall, and are $3 each or four tickets for $9.

The park also is home to the annual Holiday Fantasy of Lights, a drive-through light display that runs from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day. Both sides of the park offer playgrounds, volleyball, nature trails, biking/jogging paths, snack bars and picnic areas. Rental facilities include several large, medium and small picnic shelters. They can hold from 30 to 400 persons. There also is a model steam railroad operated by the Florida Live Steamers and Railroaders, offering public rides on the third full weekend of each month for an additional fee of $1 per person (children under 3 years are free).
