Tranquil, scenic park with its own man-made "atoll pool," which is flushed naturally by the tidal action of nearby Biscayne Bay. Considered one of the best picnic spots in South Florida.

Facilities: Restrooms, showers, changing rooms, two picnic areas, grills and nature trails. The park also has a full-service marina and the Red Fish Grill, a sit-down restaurant built into a historic coral rock building. Open for dinner only.

Lifeguards: On duty from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the week, and till 7 p.m. on weekends; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter.

Rules: No glass containers or cooking on the beach, no pets, beer allowed if accompanied by food.



Hours: Summer hours are: 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and until 7 p.m. on weekends and holidays. During the winter, the park is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. all week long.
