Located on the exact spot where generations of youngsters watched the Goodyear blimp land and take off on Watson Island, this 56,500-square-foot, two-story interactive museum features hundreds of hands-on, bilingual exhibits, including a kid-sized supermarket, a towering cruise ship and even a fire house where kids can try on firefighting gear, slide down a pole and sit in a replica fire engine. The museum is designed for kids in the fifth grade and below, and features an on-site auditorium, Subway restaurant and gift shop. (January 26, 2005)

Hours: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily. On the third Friday of each month, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., the museum is free to everyone.
