Trucks take center stage, plus other fun family events for the weekend

Big trucks will be out in force this weekend at a Touch A Truck event in Boca Raton on Saturday, giving kids of all ages the chance to see rescue trucks and utility trucks in action.

Plus there are several food and music events in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, April Pools Day events in Coral Springs and Margate, and a Free Family Day at Perez Art Museum Miami.

Starry Nights and Mini Muse workshops, Thursday, 4:30-7 p.m. A free monthly drop-in art program for children and families featuring interactive art projects and child-friendly exhibition tours the first Thursday of every month.
