Ready for holiday fun? The weekend is full of it, with South Florida Parenting’s Holiday Fest and the opening of the Holiday Fantasy of Lights in Coconut Creek, Plantation’s "It's a Wonderful Life" Parade, the opening of the ice skating rink at Hoffman’s Chocolates in Greenacres and the “Miracle on 136th Street” parade at The Falls in South Miami.

Plus, the Miami Book Fair continues in downtown Miami this weekend and Camelot Days medieval festival continues in Hollywood.

Miami Book Fair, through Sunday. See some of the hottest authors for kids and young adults, including Gene Yang, Mercedes Lackey, Kwame Alexander and Mariko Tamaki. The street fair’s Children’s Alley will host magicians, stilt walkers, pop-up theater performances, storytelling and live music Friday through Sunday. Admission $8; $5 for ages 13-18; free on Friday. Get Lit: Light Up Lauderdale, Friday.
