Snow day, boat parade, concerts highlight weekend for South Florida families

The cold won’t keep the holiday spirit away in South Florida this weekend. Along with slightly warmer temperatures, Zoo Lights and Live Like Bella Nights of Lights both kick off in Miami this weekend. The Holiday Fantasy of Lights and Garden of Lights shows continue in Broward County, and Boca Raton is preparing for its Piles of Smiles Snow Day and annual Boat Parade on Saturday.

Here’s our list of the top events for families in South Florida this weekend:

Hanukkah Party at Temple Moses, Thursday. Mega Hanukkah Party includes building the menorah, community lighting, music, light show, pizza, doughnuts and slurpee wheel starting at 6 p.m. at Temple Moses,1200 Normandy Drive in Miami Beach. $10 per person or $26 per family. templemoses.com

Margate Winter Festival, Friday.
