The Black Keys to play BB&T Center Dec. 15

The Black Keys will bring music from their much anticipated new album, “Turn Blue,” to the BB&T Center in Sunrise on Dec. 15.

According to an announcement from the band Thursday morning, tickets for all of its LiveNation tour stops will go on sale 10 a.m. May 16. St. Vincent is also on the bill. For more information, see

“Turn Blue,” the follow-up to the Black Keys' 2011 platinum-selling “El Camino,”  is streaming on iTunes and set for release by Nonesuch Records on Tuesday. The band is scheduled to make its third appearance on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.

Patrick Carney, the half of the Black Keys that is not Dan Auerbach, said the six-time Grammy winners set out to make something different with the Danger Mouse-produced album.

 “We are always trying to push ourselves when we make a record — not repeat our previous work but not abandon it either,” Carney said in a press statement. “On this record, we let the songs breathe and explored moods, textures and sounds.”

The album’s first single, “Fever,” is No. 1 on AAA radio for the fourth straight week and No. 2 among Alternative radio singles.
