Dragon's Heart from Ron Abuelo
The rum brand celebrates the release of its 12-year anejo spirit by commissioning mixologists to create cocktails inspired by the year of the dragon, 2012's Chinese zodiac sign.
1 1/2 ounces of Ron Abuelo 12 AÃ±os
1/2 ounce of Domain de Canton
3/4 ounce of mezcal
3/4 ounce of Elderflower cordial
1 1/2 ounces of blood orange juice
3 lime wedges
5 drops of Angostura bitters
Muddle lime wedges, elderflower cordial and 3 drops of bitters in a shaker. Add ice, rum, Domain de Canton, mezcal and blood orange juice.
Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with 2 drops of Angostura bitters and a blood orange slice.

Bo Derek, forever famous for her role in the movie “10,” is a horse fan and author of “Riding Lessons: Everything That Matters in Life I Learned From Horses.” The International Polo Club Palm Beach is celebrating anniversary No. 10. Do the math.
Derek will throw out the first polo ball of the four-month IPC season on Jan. 6, with the first match at 3 p.m. Tickets range from $10 for general admission to $120 for box seating. Tickets for Sunday brunch at The Pavilion and its reception begin at $55.
"It has taken a great deal of dedication and hard work to get to where we are today," said IPC president John Wash, in a press statement. "We continue to attract not only the top players and teams from around the globe, but we have managed to attract and keep the top polo tournaments in North America with the C.V. Whitney Cup, the USPA PIAGET Gold Cup, and the prestigious USPA Maserati 109th U.S. Open Championship."
The upcoming IPC season will include appearances by all eight of the world's 10-goal polo players (the highest ranking in the game), as well as the highest-rated American player, Julio Arellano.
