Rascal Flatts is bringing their “Changed Tour 2013” to the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on June 8, which you knew. The opening act is young Grammy winners The Band Perry, which you also knew. But news to us, though perhaps you knew this, is the opening-opening act is our own Cassadee Pope, once the lead singer of on-hiatus West Palm rockers Hey Monday and most recently the champion on that little NBC show called “The Voice.”
Pope, now based in Los Angeles, won “The Voice” as a member of country star Blake Shelton’s team and seemed strongest on her covers of songs by Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Faith Hill and Miranda Lambert. The 23-year-old Pope recently signed with the Republic Nashville record label and is performing music from a forthcoming album on the tour. Below is her Times Square New Year's Eve take on Rascal Flatts' "Stand."
Tickets for the show, on sale 10 a.m. Friday, are $29.75-$65.25, with four-pack lawn tickets available for $99. Get them at LiveNation.com, all Ticketmaster locations and at 800-745-3000.
