The Dave Matthews Band, celebrating its 25th anniversary, will bring its 2016 summer tour to South Florida for performances July 29-30 at Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach.
Tickets for the shows start to roll out via a fan-club presale beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Warehouse.DaveMatthewsBand.com. Tickets go on sale to the public at noon Feb. 19. The DMB again will perform two full sets each night.
The band, which has scheduled just one other Florida stop on the tour, in Tampa on July 27, has announced it will not be doing any touring in 2017.
The cult of Dave shows no sign of diminishing: DMB is the first group to have six consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. Overall, they have sold more than 20 million concert tickets, along with 38 million CDs and DVDs.
DMB’s first performance of 2016 will be Feb. 4 at San Francisco’s Pier 70, the first of three concerts in the days leading up to Super Bowl 50 in nearby Santa Clara. The summer tour kicks off May 11 in Wichita, Kan.
