DNCE to hit the beach in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday for AIDS Walk

The 2017 Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival rolls out Sunday, March 19, at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, highlighted by a performance from “Cake by the Ocean” stars DNCE.

The fundraising walk starts at 10 a.m. (registration opens at 8 a.m.), with the music beginning at 11 a.m. Along with Joe Jonas-led DNCE, other performers include Grammy-nominated drummer Jody Hill and the Deep Fried Funk Band and South Florida-based DJ-producer Alex Ferbeyre, returning for his fourth year onstage at the festival.

The event, which includes a line of food trucks and tented vendors, also features a 9:30 a.m. appearance by the festival’s celebrity ambassador, Lamman Rucker, star of Oprah Winfrey’s megachurch-set drama “Greenleaf,” on the OWN network.

Tickets for the Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival cost $25, and are good to participate in the walk or just see the concert.

Beneficiaries include the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Broward House, SAVE, Young Guardians Society, the Poverello Center, SunServe, the Pride Center, Latinos Salud, Pridelines and the World AIDS Museum and Educational Center.
