Genre-bending country duo Florida Georgia Line will be joined by pop-soul singer Nelly at Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on Oct. 14.
Tickets will cost $25-$154 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, at LiveNation.com. Singer Chris Lane also will perform.
Florida Georgia Line has been one of the decade’s top-selling acts in country music, with moody ballads and party anthems that veer off the country road now and then to include elements of pop, Southern rock and hip-hop. Outdoors in a spot like Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre is the best place to hear such songs as “Cruise,” “Dirt,” “Sun Daze” and “This Is How We Roll.”
The FGL concert is part of the duo’s Smooth Tour, and they don’t come any smoother these days than Nelly, another pop chameleon whose sweaty dance-floor anthem “Hot in Herre” has been an irresistible party staple for 15 years.
Nelly’s seventh studio album, “M.O.,” includes guest appearances by Nicki Minaj, Pharrell, Future, T.I., 2 Chainz and, yes, Florida Georgia Line.
