Revered rock rebels Green Day will perform at Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach on Sept. 3 as part of a tour supporting the trio’s first album in four years, the critically lauded “Revolution Radio.”
Tickets will cost $22-$81.50 and are scheduled to go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at LiveNation.com. A series of fan-club and VIP presales will begin 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10. For more information, visit GDIdiotNation.com. Welsh rockers Catfish and the Bottlemen will open the show.
A return to Green Day “at their best“ (Rolling Stone), “Revolution Radio” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard chart on its release Oct. 7 on Reprise Records. It includes the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame trio’s 10th No. 1 song, “Bang Bang,” and well as the Top 10 anthem “Still Breathing.”
Green Day did not make a South Florida stop on the aborted 2012 tour that supported a trio of albums released that fall titled “¡Uno!,” “¡Dos!" and “¡Tré!” The band called off the tour as frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was being treated for substance abuse.
