Eternally beloved singer-songwriter James Taylor is bringing his fall tour to the BB&T Center in Sunrise on Nov. 15.
Tickets be available during a presale beginning Sept. 2 at JamesTaylor.com, followed by a general sale 10 a.m. Sept. 5. Prices are $30.75-$95.25.
Reviews of Taylor’s summer concerts have been a parade of acclamation for his ability to rekindle the fuzzy warmth his fans have felt since “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Carolina In My Mind,” “Sweet Baby James” and “Fire and Rain” put him on the pop charts more than 40 years ago.
Recent setlists also have included “Something in the Way She Moves,” the song he wrote and sang for Paul McCartney before signing with the Beatles’ Apple Records, which released his eponymous 1968 debut album.
Taylor is accompanied onstage by his All-Star Band, which includes guitarist Michael Landau, horn player Lou Marini, drummer Steve Gadd, bassist Jimmy Johnson, percussionist Luis Conte, keyboardists Walt Fowler and Larry Goldings, fiddle player Andrea Zonn, and singers Kate Markowitz and David Lasley.
Taylor did not tour in 2013 while working on a new studio album, said to be due in 2015. His most recent releases have been a double-album of greatest hits, “The Essential James Taylor,” in Oct. 2013, and the well-regarded 2010 live album, “Carole King & James Taylor: Live at the Troubador.”
