John Mayer bringing summer tour to Sunrise

Incurably romantic singer-songwriter and guitarist John Mayer will bring his summer Search for Everything World Tour to the BB&T Center in Sunrise on Aug. 12.

Tickets will cost $35-$145.75 and go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Ticketmaster.com  and by calling 800-745-3000. Tickets will be available at the BB&T Center box office 10 a.m.  Monday, March 6. A series of presales begin 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28. Visit JohnMayer.com/tour  for more information.

Each concert on the tour will include Mayer accompanied by a full band, a bluesier set by the John Mayer Trio and a solo acoustic set.

Mayer has been introducing music from his upcoming Columbia Records album, “The Search for Everything,” in stages. Released on Friday, “The Search for Everything: Wave Two” includes the songs  “Still Feel Like Your Man,” “Emoji of a Wave,” “Helpless” and “Roll it on Home.”

On Jan. 20 he released the EP “The Search for Everything: Wave One,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. It features the ballad “Love on  the Weekend,” a classic Mayer love letter and an inescapable hit on adult-contemporary radio stations.
