Justin Timberlake will perform at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on May 18 and the BB&T Center in Sunrise on May 19 during the just-announced tour supporting his album “Man of the Woods,” set for release Feb. 2.
Tickets for both concerts go on sale Monday, Jan. 29, at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Ticketmaster.com and by calling 800-745-3000. Prices range from $49.50 to $250. A series of presales, including for members of Timberlake’s Tennessee Kids Fan Club, will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24.
This is Timberlake’s first arena tour since the 20/20 Experience World Tour, a critically lauded 2013-2014 global trek that also stopped at AmericanAirlines Arena and the BB&T Center.
“Man of the Woods” has been positioned as the work of a maturing artist, a self-reflective look at his journey into fatherhood. The album will be released the same weekend as Timberlake’s return to the Super Bowl spotlight as the halftime headliner at Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis on Feb. 4.
The last time Timberland performed at the Super Bowl, he was a less mature, 23-year-old artist, infamously exposing Janet Jackson’s breast during a cameo appearance during the live telecast of Jackson’s halftime show, the “wardrobe malfunction” setting off a cultural firestorm.
Timberlake has since gone on to find fame in other arenas, including acting. He is among the ensemble cast of Woody Allen’s latest film, “Wonder Wheel.”
