Lamar just came through South Florida with his 2017 Damn Tour for a Sept. 2 performance in Miami’s sold-out AmericanAirlines Arena. From fiery renditions of new songs such as “DNA,” “Humble,” “Element,” “Loyalty” and “XXX” to older favorites including “Alright” and “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” Lamar’s Miami concert was among the best local live shows of 2017.
The Compton, Calif., rapper’s West Palm Beach performance is one of two scheduled in Florida during the TDE: The Championship Tour, along with a May 22 stop in Tampa.
Lamar has seven nominations at the 60th annual Grammy Awards, airing live from New York's Madison Square Garden at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28. “Damn” is up for album of the year and rap album of the year; “Humble” is nominated for record of the year, best rap song, best rap performance and best music video; and “Loyalty,” featuring Rihanna, is up for best rap/sung collaboration.
