Ticket alert: Kesha and Macklemore in Miami

“#MeToo”-era icon Kesha and platinum-selling rapper Macklemore will perform Aug. 4 at Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena, one of 30 North American stops on the duo’s Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore summer tour.

On sale beginning at noon Friday, Dec. 15, tickets will cost $36.50-$122 (plus fees) at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Ticketmaster.com and by calling 800-745-3000. A series of presales begin to roll out 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Kesha will be performing music from “Rainbow,” her third studio album and the first since her hit release “Warrior” in 2012. The intervening period was a dark one for the now-30-year-old singer, as she dealt with a serious eating disorder and became entangled in a protracted legal battle (still unresolved) against her longtime producer, whom she accused of sexual assault.

She has emerged, optimism intact (“I could fight forever, oh, but life's too short,” she sings on the album’s opening track, “Bastards”), with an album that has won critical praise for its emotional complexity and exuberance. A mix of rock, country, soul and pop balladry, with help from a diverse cast of characters who include Ryan Lewis (Macklemore’s other half), Ben Folds and the revered Dap-Kings Horns, “Rainbow” is among the best albums of 2017, according to Rolling Stone.

No longer performing with Lewis, Macklemore recently released his first solo album in more than a decade, “Gemini,” featuring the hit single “Glorious.” The album also includes the Kesha collaboration “Good Old Days.” As a duo, Macklemore and Lewis produced Billboard hits “Thrift Shop,” “Same Love,” “Can’t Hold Us” and “Downtown.”
