Okeechobee Music Festival 2018 adds the Roots, Chaka Khan, Joey Bada$$

The 2018 Okeechobee Music Festival has added the Roots, Chaka Khan and Joey Bada$$ to the lineup for its late-night PoWoW event when the camping carnival returns to Sunshine Grove March 1-4.

The PoWoW concert, a night of collaboration and cross-pollination by performers from across the pop-music spectrum, will be led by hip-hop personality Snoop Dogg. Others set to perform during PoWoW are Lil Dicky, Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic, Trombone Shorty, Cory Henry, the Funky Meters and Fort Lauderdale rapper $ki Mask the Slump God.

The Roots made a memorable appearance at OMF 2017, with vocalist Black Thought and pop crooner Usher surveying a variety of soul and hip-hop influences.

Previous PoWoW concerts have matched Doobie Brother Michael McDonald with R&B crooner Gallant and electronica producer GriZ, and John Oates (Hall & Oates) with singer Miguel and Win Butler of Arcade Fire.

The main-stage lineup for OMF 2018 includes Arcade Fire, Travis Scott, Bassnectar, Halsey, Khalid, Leon Bridges, Foster the People, Thievery Corporation, the Flaming Lips, Zeds Dead, Slightly Stoopid, Big Gigantic and others.

Four-day general-admission passes cost $289 (plus taxes and fees). A GA Portal Pair Pass, with admission for two and a pass for one car/camping site, costs $603. A GA Eco Warrior Car Pool Pass, with admission for four and the car/camping site costs $1,116.

Car parking passes can be purchased separately for $25 per day, $45 for parking/camping March 1-4. VIP passes start at $699, and RV parking passes also are available. Visit OkeechobeeFest.com/tickets.

The Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival has been a sellout both years since its 2016 debut, drawing more than 30,000 visitors each year to Sunshine Grove, 800 acres of old-oak woods, grassy fields and lakes north of Lake Okeechobee. For more information, visit OkeechobeeFest.com.
