Okeechobee Music Festival 2018 adds Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg has been added to the lineup at the 2018 Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival, where the pop-culture Zelig will be the impresario at PoWoW, the late-night festival within the festival, when OMF returns March 1-4.

PoWoW is designed to throw together performers from different places on the pop-music spectrum for a night of cross-pollination. This year, Snoop Dogg will be joined by goofball rapper Lil Dicky, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Fort Lauderdale rapper $ki Mask the Slump God and the Funky Meters, among others.

Previous editions of PoWoW have matched Doobie Brother Michael McDonald with R&B crooner Gallant and electronica producer GriZ, and John Oates (Hall & Oates) with singer Miguel and Win Butler of Arcade Fire.

A lineup of EDM performers at the festival’s techno-oriented Jungle 51 also is expected to be announced soon.

The main-stage lineup for OMF 2018 includes Arcade Fire, Travis Scott, Bassnectar, Halsey, Khalid, Leon Bridges, Foster the People, Thievery Corporation, the Flaming Lips, Zeds Dead, Slightly Stoopid, Big Gigantic and others.

Four-day general-admission passes are on sale now for an advance, discount price of $269 (plus taxes and fees), $699 for VIP. Current advance prices for OMF tickets will be available through 11:59 p.m. Friday at OkeechobeeFest.com/tickets. Auto and RV parking passes are sold separately.

The Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival has been a sell-out both years since its 2016 debut, drawing more than 30,000 visitors each year to Sunshine Grove, 800 acres of old-oak woods, grassy fields and lakes north of Lake Okeechobee.
