Ticket alert: Riptide Music Festival has Panic! at the Disco, 311, Cold War Kids, Sheila E.

The 2018 Riptide Music Festival, expanding to three days, will return to Fort Lauderdale beach Nov. 30-Dec. 2 with a lineup of more than 30 modern-rock and retro favorites that includes Panic! at the Disco, Sublime With Rome, 311, Cold War Kids, Sheila E., the Sugar Hill Gang and the Jacksons.

The first wave of tickets are scheduled to go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at RiptideFest.com. These include general-admission passes, VIP access and cabana rentals.

Taking place at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, this third edition of the festival will, for the first time, include an additional day of music, rolling out 4-10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1; and noon-9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.

Riptide will open on Friday with the nostalgic sounds of Sheila E., Lisa Lisa, Baha Men, the Sugar Hill Gang and the Jacksons, consisting of surviving Jackson 5 brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon.

Saturday performers include Panic! at the Disco, Sublime With Rome, Dirty Heads, Young the Giant, Cold War Kids, Blue October, Bishop Briggs, Sir Sly, Alice Merton, Bob Moses and the Driver Era.

The festival will close on Sunday with 311, the Crystal Method, Live, Matt and Kim, Third Eye Blind, Collective Soul, Sugar Ray, Everclear, Just Loud and Silent Rivals.

Organizers say more acts will be named.

The festival is sponsored by a range of local radio-station partners, including 104.3 The Shark, 102.7 The Beach, 101.5 LITE FM, Power 96, 790 The Ticket and 560 WQAM.
