As much as the presence of the pool would have added to the multisensory experience of Steve Aoki’s Friday appearance at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, it turns out he’s just too big for the space.
Citing the popularity of Miami-born Aoki’s sold-out poolside concert, casino officials on Monday announced they have freed up more tickets by moving the show inside to Hard Rock Live.
The concert hall will be reconfigured to include an open dance floor, pedestals for go-go dancers and VIP sections with bottle service. Neon, lasers and an LED robot will complete the visual necessary stimulation.
Aoki is currently at work on a new album “Neon Future,” which includes contributions from will.i.am and, of course, Snoop Dogg. On Friday he’s expected to perform his yet-to-be-released single “Rage The Night Away.”
A limited number of general-admission tickets are now available for $54 (advance) at MyHRL.com, all Ticketmaster outlets and at 800-745-3000. Tickets will be $79 day of show, which begins at 7 p.m., with doors open at 6 p.m. VIP lounge and bottle service is available by calling Casino Services at 866-399-4263.
South Florida native Kat Lane will perform at the after-party at Passion Nightclub.
