A 2018 summer tour by the Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton will include a July 21 concert at the Hard Rock Event Center at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood.
Tickets will cost $80, $105 and $130 and go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at all Ticketmaster outlets, including Ticketmaster.com and by calling 800-745-3000. A series of venue and American Express presales will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14.
The show should follow the setup for the two guitar icons’ sold-out concert at the Hard Rock last summer, when Miller and Frampton performed individual sets, as well as a section of collaborative jamming.
Miller called those dates “an amazingly beautiful, creative and rewarding music experience for our band and our audience."
Expect Miller to perform arena-rocking hits “Jungle Love,” “Jet Airliner,” “Take the Money and Run” and “The Joker,” but if we’re lucky he’ll also delve into such classic deep cuts as “Wild Mountain Honey” or “Going to Mexico.”
Last year, Frampton gave us the crowd-pleasing “Baby I Love Your Way” and “Do You Feel Like We Do?” as well as his inspired cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun,” from the 2006 “Fingerprints” album, released in January on vinyl for the first time.
Friends for nearly 50 years, the two joined forces to return to their blues roots during the Hard Rock show on Otis Rush’s “All Your Love” and Elmore James’ “Stranger Blues.”
