While his name is Tito Puente Jr., the son of the legendary jazz composer and bandleader long ago carved out his own following among the world’s mambo mavens. So perhaps it is not surprising that his 8 p.m. performance on Saturday at the Arts Garage is a sell-out, with the appetite for tickets such that a second show has now been added at 10 p.m.
Something tells us that Puente’s timbale-fueled passion and the intimate confines of the Arts Garage will be a strikingly sweet and sweaty combination.
The Arts Garage is at 180 NE First St., Delray Beach. Tickets are $25-$40. Info: 561-450-6357, ArtsGarage.org.
