Renaissance man Travis Pastrana –– motocross champion, X Games legend, NASCAR driver and “Nitro Circus” reality TV star –– is offering South Florida fans an up-close-and-personal in November to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Pastrana will be in South Florida to make his NASCAR Nationwide Series race debut in the No. 60 Roush Fenway Racing Ford Mustang at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday, Nov. 16. Prior to the race he’ll participate in a fan Q&A session, available in a $120 ticket package, benefiting Make-A-Wish, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
Pastrana, who turns 30 on Oct. 8, and skateboard champion wife Lyn-z had their first child, a girl, on Labor Day.
The Make-A-Wish package includes a ticket to the Ford EcoBoost 300 and the prerace Q&A on Nov. 16; a ticket to the Ford EcoBoost 400 on Nov. 17; and a pre-race pit pass for both days.
“Travis brings a wave of new fans to NASCAR from his success in other forms of racing and his reality TV show, ‘Nitro Circus,’” says Homestead-Miami Speedway President Matthew Becherer in a press statement. “This is a tremendous opportunity for fans … to come out and meet one of NASCAR’s most popular drivers before he gears up for the season finale. Best of all, it’s a chance for all of us to support him and his desire to be a ‘wish granter’ for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.”
