On Sunday in West Palm Beach, Talia J. Medina shot 101 photos of dachshunds being dachshunds at an annual festival known as Dachstoberfest. You know what to do from here. (P.S. We filmed a video, too.)

Adele's video for her cover of Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love" has been viewed on YouTube more than 109 million times, which happens to be the same number of times I heard people whine last week that Dylan should not have won that little literature award in Sweden. These people are, of course, profoundly, miserably and laughably wrong, and I'm hoping they'll take a moment to reflect on just how wrong they are -- they can always come back, but they can't come back all the way -- when Adele performs "Make You Feel My Love" during her two soldout shows in Miami.

Ben Crandell interviews Mary Chapin Carpenter about the "transformative and trying decade" that preceded the release of "The Things That We Are Made Of," the Virginia-based singer-songwriter's new album. Crandell writes: "It began in 2007 with her emergency hospitalization for a pulmonary embolism, with blood clots in her lungs, which forced her to cancel a tour and part ways with her band, followed by a divorce and the loss of both parents." If you've seen Carpenter in concert, where she can display a wit as sharp as sawgrass and the musicianship to match, you know not to expect a dour affair when she returns to play Fort Lauderdale Wednesday night at Parker Playhouse.
