Jersey Girls are known to have attitudes.
They're not pushovers, and if you happen to get in a catfight with a Garden State cutie, be prepared to have your hair pulled, face scratched and a very sharp object (or maybe several) thrown at you. That’s the reputation most Jersey ladies have thanks to reality shows such as “Jersey Shore” and the “Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
Growing up in Northern New Jersey, I can attest that, yes, Jersey girls are as tough as nails. Although, I haven’t really gotten in a catfight with one, I do possess an in-your-face-tude when pushed in a corner. That’s why when the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale asked me to host a Q&A with RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice, I didn't flinch.
You might find her obnoxious. Her co-stars call her a liar. But I think she epitomizes the model Jersey Girl: brazen, confident, tough and ambitious (she’s written four cookbooks and has her own line of food and bubbly.)
At 7 p.m. Friday, Giudice and her hubby Joe will be at MOA|FL (One E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale) to promote her newest cookbook, “Fabulicious! On the Grill: Teresa’s Smoking Hot Backyard Recipes.”
There will be a 30-minute interview and fans will be able to ask Teresa questions. A book signing precedes the Q&A.
