I admit it. I’m a bit hooked on "The Real Housewives of Miami." Feel free to poke fun, but I enjoy watching my city on TV – and all its glitz and glam. Miami is full of dramatic people (myself included) which the RHOM ladies are proving effortlessly this season.
People: did you see the catfight between Brazilian bombshell Adriana De Moura and supermodel Joanna Krupa?
Taken from a page of “Jersey Shore” De Moura, an art aficionado, and Krupa, a former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, had a blow out complete with loads of name-calling, scratching and hair-pulling action. At Wednesday’s grand opening of H&M, I caught up with De Moura, who talked to me about the fight and what to expect leading up to the grand finale.
Q: Tell me a little bit about this season. I feel like you’re getting beat up a lot because of the big fight.
A: It’s been a crazy roller coaster ride of emotions. The public only gets to see bits and pieces and then they form an opinion and it’s not always correct.
Q: So now that you’re not filming do you feel relieved?
A: I love the show and I love filming. That’s not a problem for me. It’s just that people choose teams and sides. And they tend to form an opinion based on limited information. That’s the nature of the show. I’m not complaining to be on the show. It’s just this whole fight with Joanna has actually caused an emotional taxation in me. I’m very outspoken, but I don’t like to hate. If I have to be aggressive and hate someone, it actually hurts me a lot so it’s not an easy position to be in.
Q: What will the remaining episodes bring?
A: It’s just the beginning of the big argument. The cliffhanger is: are we going to be able to surpass it or not. There are more exciting moments and revelations to come so the people need to stay tuned so they can really form an opinion – if you can say that – about the cast. Are the fans set in their ways or are they Team Adriana or Team Joanna?
