Sarah Kosar's dark comedy opening Thursday night at Thinking Cap Theatre is less about America's pastime food and more about America's elderly. Specifically, it's about Maryanne, the long-suffering daughter of a demanding grandma, and about the universal meaning of giving and receiving care. Performances begin at 8 p.m., but Sunday's show (3 p.m.) includes a post-play talkback and book-signing with playwright Kosar, director Nicole Stodard and the cast. $35, $10 for students. At Nova Southeastern University's Black Box Theatre (3301 College Ave., Davie). 813-220-1546 or ThinkingCapTheatre.com
