To do Friday: Lisa Todd trunk show, "The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode" and "Miami Beach Bruthaz"

Miami Beach Bruthaz: So what's black and brown and gay? The answer is the annual Miami Beach Bruthaz, a series of parties and fashion shows this weekend for same-gender-loving men and women of color … with a panel discussion and a movie premiere thrown in for good measure. The soirees are centered around the Riviera South Beach Hotel and area hot spots such as Score Nightclub, The Palace, Skyline Lounge and Buck 15. Individual event tickets are $20 (the movie premiere is $12). A weekend pass is $112. For more information go to – Rod Stafford Hagwood

Lisa Todd trunk show: The fashion label Lafayette 148 New York is having a trunk show at the Lisa Todd boutique, the only store in Boca Raton offering the modern luxury line in women's sizes. Lafayette 148 NY is designed by Edward Wilkerson, who finessed his talent at Donna Karan and Calvin Klein before joining the Manhattan-based brand. Lisa Todd was started in 1987 by Floridian Lisa Shapiro to give all sizes a shot at trend-savvy fashion. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 561-395-1930 or email or visit – Rod Stafford Hagwood

"The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode": This is decidedly not family-friendly fare. This prolonged dirty joke is really a profane parody of the 1980s sitcom with men in drag playing Mrs. Garrett, Natalie, Tootie, Blair and Jo. And that prolonged joke is rated NC-17. What do you expect when the Eastland school faces budget cuts and the only way for the dorm mother to keep her brood together is to start turning tricks? The answer is a show that includes musical numbers right out of "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas." 8 p.m. at Empire Stage, 1140 N. Flagler Drive, in Fort Lauderdale. $30. 954-678-1496 or — Rod Stafford Hagwood
