Comedy

Chris Tucker: The comedian's supporting role in "Silver Linings Playbook," in which he portrays the mental-patient friend of Bradley Cooper, marked a warm and charming turn for an actor best recognized as a brash and rowdy sidekick in several 1990s movies. Tucker, who starred in "Friday" and three "Rush Hour" films, will perform 8 and 10:30 p.m. Friday at the Palm Beach Improv (550 S. Rosemary Ave., Suite 250, West Palm Beach). He'll also appear at the club 7 and 9:45 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. $35. 561-833-1812 or PalmBeachImprov.com. — Phillip Valys

Music

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: Do not confuse this for the Broadway Across America production with onetime "American Idol" contestant Constantine Maroulis, who played the obsessive doctor during a Broward Center run in March. Taking on the Robert Louis Stevenson yarn, about a wild-eyed scientist unlocking his own mad doppelganger, will be FAT Village's Andrews Living Arts Studio (23 NW Fifth St., Fort Lauderdale). Showtime is 8 p.m. Friday. $19.95-$29.95. 800-838-3006 or AndrewsLivingArts.com. — Phillip Valys
