Theater

"Meet Me at the Pitkin": Theatrical impresario Gary Waldman brings his shticky-spoofy musical — an original work that has been staged many times in South Florida over the past 16 years — back to his home turf of Boca Raton's Mizner Park through May 12. The show about four pals in 1940s Brooklyn who work as ushers in the Loew's Pitkin Theater by day and rehearse their musical-comedy act by night is a yuks-filled mix of Yiddish standards set to parodic English-language lyrics, with a little showbizzy "42nd Street" rags-to-riches thrown in for good measure. 8 p.m. at the Studio Theater at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center, 201 Plaza Real. $35. 561-600-0495 or Pitkin2013.com. — Rod Stafford Hagwood

Dance

Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo: Let's assess exactly what this is: a muscular man en pointe, in tap shoes and in a ballerina tutu, gracefully tossing himself into the arms of another man, also en pointe and in a tutu. One of them is interpreting a swan. Yes, you can laugh. That's the point of this all-male dance company, which with comedic sensibility, a bit of slapstick and exaggerated seriousness will portray sylphs, romantic princesses, water sprites and Victorian ladies during their 8 p.m. Thursday performance at the Parker Playhouse. $37.50-$57.50. 954-462-0222 or ParkerPlayhouse.com. — Phillip Valys

Gambling

$100 Every Two Minutes: The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is giving away $100 in free play every two minutes from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday. Patrons must have their player's club card inserted into a machine. In other words, you can't be standing around to win — you have to be playing. And if you don't win? Well, wait two minutes for another chance. 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood. 866-502-7529 or SeminoleHardRockHollywood.com. — Nick Sortal
