Everyday wine: Stephanie Miskew, a.k.a. the Glamorous Gourmet and the Wine Atelier, returns to the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday for her latest in the series known as the Art of Wine and Food. The Delray Beach-based certified sommelier and wine educator will talk about the secrets of selecting wine that cost less than $20. It's the price point most of us look for when faced with a wall of Cab Sav. Since seating is limited, reservations for the $40 per person event are a must. 954-262-0249 or — John Tanasychuk

Shauna Sweeney: The Lake Worth singer-songwriter is now an old hand at performing the National Anthem at Marlins home games, marking her fifth appearance in April by strumming her poppy, acoustic version of patriotism. Sweeney has performed on two occasions at SunFest and, last summer, put forth an geeky ode to the opposite sex with her single "My Nerdy Boyfriend." Sweeney will perform with her trio Thursday night during the weekly Art After Dark event at the Norton Museum of Art, on a bill with David Shelley and Bluestone band. The 5-9 p.m. event also will include a screening of the documentary "Building Big Skyscrapers," along with artist Christina Lihan showcasing her sculptural reliefs of skyscrapers.
