To do Tuesday: A big-screen "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!," Food Truck Invasion and "War Horse"

"War Horse": This Broadway import, appearing at the Broward Center Tuesday through May 19, examines the bond between humans and horses with robust storytelling and deft puppetry. Adapted from British author Michael Morpurgo's young-adult novel, Nick Stafford's play concerns a farm boy's relationship with a skittish chestnut colt, purchased at auction by his father, and their separation at the outset of World War I. The lifelike movements of the 120-pound "horse," built from aluminum, cane and fabric, are controlled by the Handspring Puppet Company. 8 p.m. $39.50-$89.50. 954-462-0222 or — Phillip Valys

Food Truck Invasion: Food-truck roundups are now ubiquitous in Broward County, but how many can you name that cater to nerds? Along with the meals on wheels pulling into Plantation Heritage Park (1100 S. Fig Tree Lane) on Tuesday is a "Star Wars"-themed roundup of activities. Costumed characters from the films will be in attendance, perhaps to hold lightsaber duels uncomfortably close to your queue while you order buffalo mahi from B.C. Tacos. Tate's Comics will hand out "Star Wars" comics, and free Blu-ray copies of the original trilogy will be given away to fans. 5:30-9:30 p.m. Free. — Phillip Valys

Wait Wait … Don't Tell Me! Radio comes to life, or at least, to screen, in this 2-D recording of NPR's signature quiz show. Select cinemas in South Florida will screen the film Tuesday night, the second and last round of showings nationwide. If you've ever wondered what host Peter Sagal and panelists Paula Poundstone, Mo Rocca and Tom Bodett do — or look like — while the improv-heavy radio show airs, here's your chance to find out. Come prepared with as many face-for-radio jokes as you think your friends will stand. Find theaters screening "Wait Wait" at — Maria Murriel
