Top events to do Tuesday: From incurable romantics to a bluegrass trio

The Howlin' Brothers: This down-home Nashville bluegrass trio, who formed at Ithaca College while studying jazz and classical music, will perform 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Funky Buddha Lounge (2621 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton). The band, consisting of banjoist-upright bassist Ben Plasse, guitarist-harmonicist Jared Green and fiddler-mandolinist Ian Craft, will no doubt play the smooth, old-timey songs from their debut album, "Howl," released earlier this year and produced by Raconteurs guitarist Brendan Benson. $5. 561-368-4643 or — Phillip Valys

Forever Festival: The Forever Festival, a seven-day digital concert shot in venues across the globe, will turn its focus to Blackbird Ordinary (729 SW 1st Ave, Miami) with filming of sets by Afrobeta, the Tremends, Nacho (Eagle Chief), Jean Jacket and more beginning at 8 p.m. It's a free 21-and-older event, with ladies-night offerings from 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. 305-671-3307 or — Ben Crandell

"Before Midnight": Richard Linklater's incurable romantics, Celine (Julie Delpy) and Jesse (Ethan Hawke), are all grown up, with real problems and real bitterness. Which makes them more likable, right? Linklater's "Before Midnight," the sequel to 1995's "Before Sunrise" and 2004's "Before Sunset," is in its debut run at Cinema Paradiso (503 SE Sixth St., Fort Lauderdale) with two more screenings at 8 p.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Wednesday. $10, $8 seniors/students, $6 members. 954-525-3456 or — Ben Crandell
