To do Wednesday: Runway Star Fashion Bazaar and Alkaline Trio

Runway Star Fashion Bazaar: Just in time for Mother's Day ... a gift bazaar and fashion show at the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Titled "Runway Star Fashion Bazaar," the event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a Macy's-sponsored fashion show in the museum's Keller Theatre and the "pop-up shop" staged on the balcony level. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Admission is $40 for nonmembers and $30 for members of the museum. For more information or to RSVP, call Nicole Rodriguez at 954-712-1159 or email MODS is located at 401 SW Second St., in Fort Lauderdale. — Rod Stafford Hagwood

Alkaline Trio: When the Chicago punk-rockers come to Revolution Live on Wednesday night, they'll do so not long after guitarist Matt Skiba half-joked at a concert, before launching into a performance of "Emma," that "all our songs are comprised of the same three chords." Even if there's a spark of truth to that, it hardly matters, as their critically lauded new album, "My Shame Is True," can attest. Released in April, the album contains a feisty set of tracks filled with muscular riffs and highly singable punk. The band will share the bill with Queens-based rockers Bayside at 6:30 p.m. $18.99. 954-449-1025 or — Phillip Valys
