Jason Derulo, the Miami-born R&B singer whose slide whistle-adorned single “Wiggle” remains a strong contender for song of the summer, will promote his recent album “Talk Dirty” when he visits the Fillmore Miami Beach on Nov. 2.
General-admission tickets are $37 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15 for the pop-soul hitmaker’s show, with reserved seats going for $49.50. Passes are available at the Fillmore’s box office (1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach), at LiveNation.com or via charge by phone (800-745-3000).
“Wiggle,” a “Baby Got Back” for the Millennial set for its sly, flirtatious musings on the female butt, is a lead single off Derulo’s newest album, “Talk Dirty,” which debuted at number four on the US Billboard 200 albums chart. The song, which also features Snoop Dogg, has drawn 183 million YouTube views and counting, and is his fifth single to enter Billboard’s Top 40. Derulo also performed a medley of "Wiggle" and "Talk Dirty" during the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, which aired last night on FOX.
Derulo’s career has soared since he began writing songs for Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman in 2009, and the singer has since released four multiplatinum albums and a roster of smash singles, including “The Other Side, “Talk Dirty” and “Marry Me.” Derulo was last in town in June 2013 for the iHeartRadio pool party at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
