Macbeth: Wars for crowns and kingdoms were popular long before "Game of Thrones." More than 400 years ago, William Shakespeare introduced the dark world of "Macbeth," a tragedy about the Scottish general whose appetite for the throne changes the course of history and takes him into a world of greed, guilt and blood. The Palm Beach Opera will perform Giuseppe Verdi's opera version of the play 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kravis Center. $25-$135. 561-832-7469 or Kravis.org.
