"Phyllida Barlow: Hoard":
British sculptor Barlow’s percariously perched piles of cardboard, cement, plywood and other pedestrian materials of everyday urban life are “anti-monumental,” encouraging the viewer to reconsider monuments and their ubiquity as “a kind of absurdity.” At the very least, you may now see your garage or son’s bedroom in a whole new way. This is your final week to see “Hoard,” Tuesday-Sunday, at the Norton Museum of Art (1451 S. Olive Ave., West Palm Beach). Admission: $12 (Thursday is half price).
