There are now two vaguely secret pop-up shows by critically lauded indie rockers Arcade Fire set for next week in Miami, with tickets on sale 10 a.m. Wednesday.
A concert on Oct. 23 at Mekka in downtown Miami has been added to the previously announced show on Oct. 24 at the Little Haiti Cultural Center (212 NE 59th Terrace, Miami). The concerts are two of several U.S. shows that the emotive Canadian band will be performing under an alternative nom de musique, the Reflektors.
The band recently teased its imminent James Murphy-produced double album with a new single, “Reflektor,” a bouncy collaboration with art-rock icon David Bowie.
The Rhythm Foundation posting for the Little Haiti show makes no mention of Arcade Fire, but includes the art work from the “Reflektor” single and a version of the short film Arcade Fire released with the song (see it at JustaReflektor.com).
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday for those with the Arcade Fire presale code (see ArcadeFire.com), and to the public at 10 a.m. Thursday. More info: RhythmFoundation.com, and Ticketmaster.com.
