You say you want to be a Maxim-style pinup photographer?

You’ve certainly got the eye for it, right? The only thing that stands between you and a career as a bikini-model photographer is, well, all that knowledge and training stuff. Oh, and the models.

On Saturday, prolific South Florida pinup photographer Oscar Rabeiro will offer a workshop called “The Power of Light,” with real-world tips on strategies that helped him create images published in Maxim,  Playboy and American Curves, to name a few.

The 10 a.m.-3 p.m. session will feature live models, including 2013 Maxim Hometown Hottie finalist Jaquie Ohh. She and Rabeiro are frequent pinup collaborators, and also work together on South Florida pet-rescue fundraising events such as the annual Mutts ‘n Models benefit.

You’ll have to bring your own camera and an understanding of exposure basics like ISO, shutter speed and aperture.  Workshop sponsor Photoflex supplies the lighting equipment.

Cost: $149. Location: C&I Studios, 541 NW First Ave.,  Fort Lauderdale. Info: 888-494-1997, Rabeiro.com/workshop.
