Contest: What would you put in a Seminole Burger?

If you were making a Florida State Seminole-themed burger, what would go in it? A Gator buddy says “chicken.” A Canes pal says “gator.” The guys at Grease Burger will ignore these ideas, but are interested in yours.

Grease Burger, Beer & Whiskey Bar (213 Clematis St., West Palm Beach) is working with the Palm Beach County Seminole Club to create the ultimate Seminole Burger for the new football season, accepting recipe submissions through Aug. 31. The winner will get to see their burger given a permanent spot on the restaurant’s menu of acclaimed burgers, plus receive a $100 Grease gift certificate.

Grease wears its garnet and gold on its sleeve, says general manager Ben Foster: “Grease is the only place to get that game-day feel outside of Tallahassee."

For Palm Beach County Seminole Club president Peter Burke, the bromance is mutual.

"The Palm Beach County Seminole Club is very excited about this new and exciting promotion with our game-watching partners at Grease Burger, Beer & Whiskey Bar,” Burke blurbed. “I can't think of a better way to leave our lasting legacy than to solicit input from all Palm Beach County Seminoles on a signature burger that fans can enjoy for years to come.”

E-mail your detailed recipe –– include everything from the types of sauces and cheeses to the number of patties you want –– to events@pbnoles.com. Include your name and put  "Seminole Burger" in the subject line.

Three finalists will be announced at the restaurant during the FSU vs. Pittsburgh game on Labor Day. Grease will serve slider versions of the finalists during the Florida vs. Miami game on Sept. 7 to help determine the winner.
