A fundraiser and awareness-raising event for victims of the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and similar tragedies, the Actions for Change Food and Music Festival took place Sunday, Sept. 30 at Pine Trails Park in Parkland.

The event featured performances by musical acts such as Skip Marley, Michael Franti and Spearhead, DJ Samantha Ronson and members of the student activist group Shine MSD; food from restaurants in South Florida, Chicago, San Francisco and elsewhere; and art by activist and Stoneman Douglas father Manuel Oliver.

Actress-activist Alyssa Milano and South Florida radio personality Paul Castronovo emceed the festival.
