The search for a missing legislative intern from Weston continued Monday, more than a week after he was last seen, according to Michael Uhre, the man's father.
Ryan Uhre, 23, an intern for state Rep. Richard Stark, D- Weston, was last seen in Tallahassee on Feb. 2 and was reported missing Friday. Friends and family have been searching for him by handing out fliers throughout Broward County. On Monday, they also created a Facebook page, Find Ryan Uhre.
Uhre, a 2013 graduate of Florida State University who had plans to go to law school, was last seen at Andrew's Capital Grill and Bar in Tallahassee on the night of the Super Bowl, according to FSU police. His father said he received a tip that his son might have been seen Friday at Rosie's Bar & Grill in Wilton Manors.
In a statement, Stark said he shared the concerns of family and friends over Uhre's disappearance. "In the few days that Ryan has worked with us, he demonstrated exemplary knowledge and performance in all of his tasks," said Stark.
The Tallahassee police department asks anyone with information about Uhre's whereabouts to call 850-606-5800, or Crime Stoppers at 850- 574-TIPS.
