South Florida will stay on the very hot side Wednesday but there’s a chance of late day showers and thunderstorms that will cool things down.

Wednesday

Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 5pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 103. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible

Wednesday Night

A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 75. West wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Thursday

A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday Night

A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 75. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Friday

A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming east 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.
