Calder has football-picking promos

September at Calder Casino & Race Course is highlighted by football promotions in the casino and a change of High Hands in Studz Poker Club. For September, Calder Casino has three football-themed promotions kicking off the month. Two of the three promotions will span the entirety of the NFL regular season. With the conclusion of Calder’s baseball-themed Big League Classic, the football version of this Kiosk promotion gets started on Wednesday, Sept. 4. The $45,000 Pigskin Picks Kiosk Game is free to enter, and allows guests to pick the winners of select NFL games from 9 a.m. on Wednesdays through 10 a.m. on Sundays. The first payout of the promotion will be on Wednesday, Sept. 11, when the Top 20 scores win a share of over $1,500 Free Play. On top of having a shot at the weekly prize pool, guests can play each week to qualify for the end-of-season Top 100 for a share of over $12,000 Free Play. The Eat & Win Tavern Special combines football, food, and free play every Sunday in September. Guests can watch their favorite NFL games in the Twin Spires Tavern from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., then with a receipt of $15, visit the Players Club and have a shot at winning up to $100 Free Play or other prizes. Like Pigskin Picks, the Eat & Win Tavern Special will give guests a chance to win all season long. Closing out the trifecta of football promotions is the $40,000 Gridiron Classic. Every Friday night in September, guests will pick a figure that will dash its way to the end zone to score up to $500 Free Play. Winners will be selected to play hourly from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and are selected by having the player's club card in a machine.Mondays in September brings back the popular Mystery Multiplier promotion. Guests have a chance to multiply their points anywhere from two, up to 10 times starting Sept. 9 after earning  25 points then swiping at a Promo Kiosk between 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.(FYI, I'm rounding up all the football-themed promos in my Friday Showtime column.) Saturday nights will appeal to the game-show-lover in everyone with the Show Me the Money Giveaway.
