Mexico trips at Classic

On Monday, Cinco de Mayo, Seminole Classic Casino (4150 N. State Road 7, 954-961-3220, SeminoleClassicCasino.com) will give away nine trips to Mexico, one every 15 minutes from 6 to 8 p.m. Winners can opt for $8,500 in free play instead. Players may earn drawing entries from 12:01 a.m. Monday until 7:45 p.m., just before the final drawing. Throughout May, the casino will be selling bottles of Dos Equis for $2.50.

Seminole Casino Coconut Creek (5550 NW 40th St., 954-977-6700, SeminoleCasinoCoconutCreek.com) will celebrate Cinco de Mayo all weekend. Taste of Cinco de Mayo will run from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday at the Sorrisi Indoor and Outdoor Patio. Tickets cost $45 in advance (via Ticketmaster.com) or $55 at the door. There will be food stations, Dos Equis beer specials and Patron-tequila-infused cocktails and music. From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, guests can play the $75,000 Tequila and Lime Toss game. Three players every 30 minutes will compete for a share of $75,000 in free play. Visitors also can receive a set of four margarita glasses from 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday in the Pavilion after earning 12 Comp Dollars.

Mardi Gras Casino (831 N. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, 954-924-3200, MardiGrasCasinoFL.com) offers up to $10,000 in the Candy Machine of Cash at 3, 5, 7 and 9 p.m. Tuesdays. Players must earn 10 points for a chance to qualify. Ten players are picked every hour.

Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino (901 S. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, 954-454-7000, GulfstreamPark.com) will offer scratch cards from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. during its Cinco De Mayo 30K Giveaway. Players must earn five slot points to qualify.

Dania Casino and Jai-Alai (301 E. Dania Beach Blvd., 954-927-2841, DaniaCasino.com) marks Monday's holiday with five $250 winners every hour from 5 to 10 p.m. It takes 200 points to earn a drawing entry. Meanwhile, there will be $2 tequila shots, $2.50 Coronas, $3 margaritas and 99-cent tacos from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday through Monday. That, my friends, is how to spend a holiday.
