Here's a new twist mixing the Super Bowl and poker. It uses the square game, i.e., where each player has one of 100 squares and if the final score ends in the correct numbers, he is the winner.
So through 11:59 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Poker room, the first 200 players that get a full house of aces full of 10s or better) will receive one square as either a primary or secondary box holder.
A $3,500 entry into the $5 Million Guaranteed Seminole Hard Rock Showdown Championship will be awarded to the primary winner of each quarter. If the primary winner isn't in the poker room for the drawing Feb. 2, the secondary winner gets the seat. Otherwise, the secondary winner gets a $385 Mega Entry.
The corresponding numbers for the squares will be drawn on Feb. 1, so those with, say, a 2, 5, 8 or 9 could start drinking and moaning about their bad luck. On Feb. 2 (the date of The Big Game, as Seminole Hard Rock promoters say, fearing using the words "Super Bowl" anywhere within miles will bring a lawsuit from the NFL), the game is on.
