Victor Figueroa of Miami Beach won the WPT Rock 'n' Roll Poker Open main event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hard Rock Monday, earning $105,000.
It's the first major tournament win for Figueroa, who has been in the top five in several local tournaments recently, and has cashed in tournaments at the Hard Rock, the Isle Casino and Racing in Pompano Beach and the Palm Beach Kennel Club.
The final three players decided to chop up the prize money, with Figueroa taking the most. Former WPT Jacksonville champ Anthony Ruberto Jr. settled for second, and $85,000.
The $1,650 buy-in event drew 329 entries, creating a prize pool of $493,500.
