Isle offers special dining on Christmas Day

Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park announced that three of its restaurants: Bragozzo, Farmer’s Pick Buffet and Myron’s Delicatessen will be open on Christmas Day, and that enhanced menus have been created for the occasion.

The restaurants will also be open on Christmas Eve during their normal hours (Bragozzo from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.;  Farmer’s Pick brunch 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., dinner 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.; Myron’s from 9 a.m. until 3 a.m.)

 According to a press release, the Farmer’s Pick Buffet Christmas Day menu (all-you-can-eat $25.99) starts with champagne brunch at 11 a.m. and continues through dinner from 3:30 until 9 p.m. Lobster bisque or Italian wedding are among the soups. Prime rib of beef, au jus, smoked ham in orange blossom honey glaze, or orange baked salmon with sautéed spinach and grape tomatoes are at the carving station.

 The main course choices: roasted tom turkey in giblet gravy with cranberry orange relish; steamed crab legs with melted butter; grilled rib-eye steaks roasted in onions and mushrooms; shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta; and fried calamari in pomodoro sauce. Accompaniments include: cornbread dressing, herbed apple stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, fried sweet potato casserole, eggplant rollatini marinara and fresh mozzarella, roasted pumpkin with maple pecan butter, sesame seed and garlic green beans, and creamed spinach and onions.

 A specialty salad bar includes peel n’ eat shrimp in cocktail sauce and lemons; a mixed green salad with walnuts, sliced apples, roasted beets, Gorgonzola cheese and house vinaigrette; Mediterranean fennel salad with squid, shrimp and bay scallops; and from the buffet’s recently introduced buffet sushi bar, an assortment of California, vegetable, Philly, spicy tuna and cucumber-eel sushi rolls.

 Sugar free and regular desserts range from Napoleons and Key Lime tartlets, to French apple pie and ice cream; from double chocolate cake to cheesecake with fruit toppings, crème caramel or bread pudding in whiskey cream sauce. The buffet also continues its offering of unlimited sodas or a choice of up to three glasses of wine or domestic beer per person.

Myron’s Delicatessen’s menu on Christmas Day ($16.99) offers a traditional spice rubbed turkey dinner with herbed apple stuffing, giblet brown gravy, garlic smashed potatoes, glazed baby carrots with balsamic vinegar and honey, butter melted leeks, fresh-buttered baby string beans, and cranberry orange relish. Or salt-rubbed roasted prime rib eye dinner with Yorkshire popover, aus jus, garlic mashed potatoes, glazed baby carrots with balsamic vinegar and honey, butter-melted leeks, fresh buttered baby string beans and horseradish cream sauce. The menu includes a choice of soup or house salad and a glass of house wine or domestic beer.
